Police solve two crimes with one arrest

KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - Police say they solved two crimes with one arrest.

Kennett police arrested Joshua Cecil, 21, on suspicion of second-degree burglary and two counts of stealing.

Investigators say Cecil broke into McDaniel Firestone, 117 First St., overnight Monday and stole an "undisclosed amount of property."

After receiving a call of a "suspicious person" in the area of Jones and Eighth Streets, officers located Cecil.

During further investigation, Cecil "confessed" to breaking into the Firestone store, according to a report from the Kennett Police Department.

Officers also identified Cecil as the suspect in another theft the previous night at Huck's Convenience Store, 506 St. Francis St.
