POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Two people and some pets were able to make it out of a home safely Thursday afternoon as Pocahontas firefighters battled a blaze.
According to Pocahontas Fire Chief Darrell Kester, authorities went to Crismon Street around 4 p.m. Thursday after getting a call about the fire. Kester said the fire may have started in the attic area but it was too early to tell.
The people were able to get out of the home safely. However, Kester said one person drove himself to the hospital due to minor injuries.
The fire is still under investigation, Kester said.
