West Plains man killed in rollover crash

WEST PLAINS, MO (KAIT) -

A Missouri man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Thursday.

Robert A. Salamone, 28, of West Plains died in the crash, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Missouri Route CC west of West Plains.

Salamone was driving east when the 2002 Ford Explorer went off the left side of the road, came back to the road, and overturned several times, according to MSHP.

He was pronounced dead about three hours later by the Howell County coroner.

Brandon Harto, 21, of West Plains was also in the SUV and sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was airlifted to a Springfield hospital.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.
