Man robbed at knifepoint, police searching for suspect

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro man told police another man robbed him at knifepoint Monday morning as he was walking home.

The 26-year-old victim told police the alleged robbery happened around 11:45 a.m. in the 200-block of Russell Drive.

He described the suspect as a tall, slender African-American man in his early- to mid-20s with short, braided hair and gold upper teeth. He said the suspect wore a maroon pullover hoodie with a rhino on the front and black sweatpants.

The victim said the man pointed a medium-sized folding pocket knife, with a black and white striped handle, and demanded all of his money and phone.

When the victim told the suspect he didn't have any money, the robber grabbed his cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy 7 smartphone valued at $700, and ran away.
