CARDWELL, MO (KAIT) -

The Cardwell City Council had some questions for local police officers at the council's meeting last week. And police officers responded.

According to the minutes from that meeting, council members wanted to know why a city police car was seen coming back from Arbyrd, which is the county's jurisdiction.

Chief Richard Lyell and officer Cody Johnson said officers have to help county deputies with domestic calls, outside of Cardwell, if law enforcement believe a weapon might be involved.

Still, there are many unanswered questions. Lyell declined to comment on or off camera about the meeting. Region 8 News also put in several calls to the mayor, but he did not return any calls.
