JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - There has not been a major spike in flu cases so far this year in Craighead County.
However, officials warn that may change once people starting traveling for the holidays.
Craighead County Health Officer Dr. Joe Stallings said the county is not in the clear yet, noting surrounding states are seeing more flu cases than Arkansas.
Stallings said it's not too late to get a flu shot, especially if you plan on traveling for the holidays.
"There's going to be a lot of travel as you know during Christmas holidays they may be visiting friends family members that have the flu - so they may bring the flu back and so we may have an increase after the holidays," Stallings said.
