UPDATE: Names, more details released in Sharp County shooting

SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man injured, and two people arrested. 

According to Sgt. Aaron Presser, the shooting happened Wednesday night on Wilderness Drive in Highland.

Presser said deputies found William Welch with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The man was flown to a trauma center to undergo emergency surgery.

Sgt. Presser says the Welch is still in the hospital but is "looking good."

Deputies identified  Samantha Taylor as the shooter. 

She faces charges of domestic battery, 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, terroristic threatening, tampering with physical evidence

Bill Stricklin Junior was also arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and tampering with physical evidence

Deputies tell Region 8 News Stricklin is the boyfriend of Taylor's, and the child's father. 

Presser said the investigation is ongoing.
