LEPANTO, AR (KAIT) -

Lepanto police arrested three individuals early Wednesday morning after a vehicle search turned up marijuana.

According to a report, Barbara Veron, Rico Moore, and Shawn Corkran were arrested during a traffic stop on Henderson Street.

The report states an officer observed a man acting nervous at a gas station before making the traffic stop.

After making the stop, the driver told police she had no information on the vehicle, nor did the backseat passengers have their identifications.

According to the report, a second officer then arrived, searched the vehicle, and found two gallon-sized baggies in the passenger side floor board with a green leafy substance on them that tested positive for marijuana.

All three were placed under arrest and taken to the Lepanto Police Department before being transported to the Marked Tree Police Department to await a probable cause hearing.

Veron was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession with purpose to deliver, no proof of insurance and failure to register. Corkran and Moore were both arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession with purpose to deliver.
