Student taken to hospital following bus crash

LYNN, AR (KAIT) -

5:26 p.m. update: Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Yates confirmed to Region 8 News that one student was taken to a local hospital after they complained of a headache following a school bus crash.

Yates said the crash, first reported at 3:25 Monday afternoon, took place on Highway 25 in Lynn near the downtown area. Several students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

Yates said the driver of a car struck the rear bumper of the school bus. Arkansas State Police are investigating the cause.


Arkansas State Police are investigating a bus crash that caused minor injuries, according to the law enforcement agency.

The crash happened in Lynn at about 3:25 Monday afternoon.

A state trooper just arrived on the scene of the crash.
