JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Having a baby can be a joyous event.
However, a growing number of men are being diagnosed with post-partum depression. According to a new report, between four and 25% of new fathers have been diagnosed with post-partum depression.
A new father, Craig Mullins, faced the same issues.
"I started typing in these emotions that I had, and it came up," Mullins said. "Post-partum depression in men. You're not crazy. You're not a bad father. You're not a bad husband."
Some of the symptoms of post-partum depression include an inability to concentrate and a loss of interest in daily activities. Also, it is more likely to happen in men with a history of depression, officials said.
