Santa helps Arkansas girl with special delivery

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) - A nine-year-old Arkansas girl spreads holiday cheer with the help of a special delivery from Santa.

Carlye Baltzell's classmates told her Santa Clause isn't real, so she decided to find out for herself by writing a letter to Santa, asking for clothes and a blanket to give to a homeless person.

"It just hurts me to see people on the side of the road that nobody is doing anything about it because all they do is care about themselves," Baltzell said. "It's rude."

Little Rock ABC-affiliate KATV reports a local mail carrier opened the letter and told Carly's mom about it.

With the help of her brother, who plays Santa for Arkansas Children's Hospital, the mail carrier set up a special meeting between Santa and Carlye with the gifts she asked for.
