JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

In a day where it seems most people don’t speak up, a young man told authorities that another juvenile had a loaded BB gun inside a public gym.

According to a Jonesboro police report, the juvenile told a city employee that another male juvenile had a black Bear River CO2 pistol at Allen Park, 3609 Race Street, Tuesday evening.

When the city employee approached the suspect, he reportedly denied having the gun.

Another juvenile said the suspect lied and went into the bathroom shower area with the item.

As the suspect and city employee walked to an office, the suspect then took off running from the gym.

Officers were able to get the name of the juvenile suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
