Woman charged with Medicaid fraud

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro woman was arrested for Medicaid fraud, the Arkansas Attorney General announced Wednesday.

According to a news release from Leslie Rutledge, Jamie Anderson, 28, of Jonesboro was arrested by Craighead County sheriff's deputies on one count of Medicaid fraud.

Rutledge said Anderson billed “for services not rendered”, totaling more than $500 between September 2015 and March 2016.

Prosecutor Scott Ellington assisted with the case as well.

Anderson’s arrest was also announced with Wendy Beasley, 45, of Malvern. Beasley is charged with one count of Medicaid fraud, taking more than $1,000 for services not rendered.
