Arkansas player suspended for bowl game

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KARK) - Arguably one of the best players in the country will not play in the Belk Bowl.

Arkansas Head Coach Bret Bielema announced that senior tight end Jeremy Sprinkle was suspended for the game.

According to KARK in Little Rock, Sprinkle is reportedly accused of attempted shoplifting at a bowl function.

SEC Country reported that each player received a $450 gift card to purchase items at the Belk store but Sprinkle tried to take items worth more than the amount.

The Razorbacks play Virginia Tech at 4:30 p.m.
