JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A new restaurant is coming to E. Highland Dr. in Jonesboro.

U.S. Pizza Co. is coming to the former location of Fuji Japanese Steakhouse in the Highlands Shopping Center, according to Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development.

The Arkansas-based restaurant uses stone-hearth ovens to make their homemade thin crust pizza, according to their website.

They also serve up pasta, salads, and sandwiches.

No official date for the opening has been announced, but it is expected to be open by summer 2017.

Fuji Japanese Steakhouse will still remain in the same shopping center. It will be positioned just behind the pizzeria.
