JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A man who returned a pair of pants apparently forgot to check the pockets.

Jonesboro police say the man left a plastic bag containing $10 worth of marijuana in the pants.

A clerk at H&M, 3000 E. Highland, told police a black man wearing all black clothing came into the store around 1 p.m. Monday to return a pair of pants.

After she had finished the transaction, she found the pot in a pants pocket and called the police.

The store’s surveillance camera captured the transaction, but the store manager was unable to retrieve it at the time of the report and said she would take it to the police station at a later date.

Officer Nicholas Dumond collected the marijuana and placed into evidence.
