JPD investigates armed robbery

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are investigating an early morning armed robbery of a gas station.

According to a news release from the Jonesboro Police Department, officers responded to the business at 1325 S. Caraway Rd. around 1:15 a.m. Saturday.

The store clerk said a masked man with a gun demanded money from the register and then ran out the north door of the store.

"He asked for the money, and if you don't give the money he was going to shoot," said Shamsuddinn Dinani, a store employee.  "They were scared, so as soon as he left they called the police."

Police are investigating, but no arrests have been made in the case.

No other description of the suspect was given.
