OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) -

The name of the officer who shot and injured a juvenile suspect during a robbery call has been released.

Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington confirmed to Region 8 News that Osceola Police Officer Jennifer Ephlin fired a shot injuring the suspect as he was trying to get into a vehicle not belonging to him nearly one week ago.

The suspect was taken to a Memphis hospital. His family said he's expected to be "okay."

Another suspect was arrested during the robbery investigation while a third ran from police. Officers are still searching for that suspect.

Ephlin was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, according to Osceola Police Chief David Gladden.

One year ago, the officer returned to the police department after allegations surrounding an online bullying claim.
