JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Power is being restored after storms struck the area on Tuesday.

David Burnette, service manager with Entergy Arkansas, said 22,000 customers in Northeast Arkansas lost power.

Blytheville, Hardy, Harrisburg, and Newport were the hardest hit areas when it comes to power outages.

Entergy crews were out on Thursday repairing 200 broken poles.

Crews have been out since the storms passed and Burnette said they will stay in the field until every customer has their power back.

“There is a situation with these wind storm,” Burnette said. “That sometimes limbs fall and tears meter loops off the wall, If that’s the case, we cannot turn their power back on. I encourage customers if they’ve got a lot of limb damage in their yards, to make sure their meter loop is okay. Because they’ll have to get a licensed electrician to make those repairs.”

If you are an Entergy customer and need to report an outage, call 1-800-968-8243.
