PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Investigators in Paragould are working to determine the cause of an early morning house fire.
According to Paragould Fire Captain Kenny Highfill, the fire started around 6 a.m. at a home on the 400-block of East Garland Street.
Highfill said the fire started on the front porch and spread through the home to the attic.
When crews arrived on the scene, a man who lived in the home was working to extinguish the fire with a garden water hose.
Highfill said firefighters had the fire extinguished within 30 minutes.
No one was injured.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
