JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Early Friday morning a man walked into a Jonesboro convenience store, pointed a gun at the clerk and robbed her.

The holdup occurred shortly after 4:50 a.m. at Citgo, 3910 S. Caraway Rd.

"The lone gunman entered the store, brandished a pistol and demanded money from the store clerk," said Paul Holmes, public information specialist for the Jonesboro Police Department.

The robber grabbed the cash from the clerk, then ran out the front door.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his teens or 20s, wearing a hooded jacket and dark pants.
