Former police chief passes away

KENNETT, MO (KAIT) -

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for former Kennett Police Chief Joe Brumley. 

According to a post on the McDaniel Funeral Home website, Brumley, who was 69, died Saturday in Kennett. In addition to his law enforcement career, Brumley served in the United States Army and was a member of the Kennett Masonic Lodge #68. 

He is survived by one daughter, four grandchildren, a brother and three sisters, the post noted. 

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. On Wednesday, there will be a Masonic service prior to the funeral at 11 a.m.
