BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

A man wanted for shooting a couple who tried to buy a car from him is in custody.

Terrance Jackson was arrested around 7:30 Wednesday morning without incident, according to Captain Scott Adams, Criminal Investigation Division Commander for the Blytheville Police Department.

Adams states Arkansas Community Correction's Special Response Team arrested the man in the 100-block of West Coleridge.

The 25-year-old was wanted by police for aggravated robbery, first-degree battery, and theft in the Feb. 25 incident.

Bobbie Greene and Larry Jones told investigators they and their infant child traveled from Caruthersville, MO to Blytheville to buy a car they found on social media.

When they met Jackson, whom they did not know at the time, at the Clearlake Apartments to complete the deal they said he pulled out a handgun and began firing shots into their car.

Greene was shot in the left arm; Jones was hit in the neck. Both were taken to Regional One Health.

Their infant was not hurt in the shooting, police said.

After being arrested, Jackson was taken to the Blytheville Police Department to be interviewed.

He will be arraigned in Blytheville District Court on Thursday.
