Police investigating robbery at Jonesboro gas station

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are investigating a reported robbery.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department Public Information Officer Paul Holmes, the robbery happened at 8:19 Wednesday morning at the Valero gas station at 1708 W. Nettleton Ave.

"Two young people entered the store," Holmes said. "At least one armed with a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk, got some money and left on foot heading south."

Holmes said the suspects were described as African-American males in their teens to mid-20s and that they took off with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.
