JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A man told Jonesboro police that he was stabbed twice as he was walking down the street Saturday night.
According to Jonesboro police spokesman Paul Holmes, officers went to the 500-block of West Huntington Avenue around 9:30 p.m. due to the stabbing.
The victim told police that the suspect walked up to him and asked for his wallet.
"At this point, the victim swung at the suspect and tried to get away but the suspect produced a knife and they began wrestling around," Officer Tanner Huff said in the police report. "The victim was stabbed once in the right leg and cut once on the right arm."
The victim, who was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center, then told police he was able to get away from the suspect and run away.
