NEW MADRID CO., MO (KAIT) - -

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says snowy road conditions contributed to a single-vehicle crash that sent a man to the hospital.

Dustin R. Crane, 28, of Malden suffered undisclosed moderate injuries in Monday morning’s crash.

According to an MSHP report, Crane was southbound on Highway 153, two miles south of Gideon, when his 2005 Chevy 2500 pickup truck skidded on the snow-covered road and struck a tree.

An ambulance transported Crane to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

The report stated Crane was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The truck was totaled.
