WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln today will be joined by Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in a bi-partisan effort to stress the importance of Medicaid to Arkansans.

At a Senate Finance Committee hearing this morning, Lincoln will introduce Huckabee to testify before her committee.  Lincoln is expected to draw attention to President Bush's proposed cuts to the Medicaid program, which critics say will have a devastating impact on rural states like Arkansas.

Later in the day, Lincoln will host a news conference with members of Congress from rural states about Social Security reform.
