JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Donations to one Jonesboro organization is going a long way to help them out.

Denise Snider with City Youth Ministries said the organization received a $1,000 donation and freezer from Trinity Rail employees along with a $2,400 donation from Cornerstone United Methodist Church.

Snider said the $1,000 donation will go to buying food from their food pantry, the $2,400 donation will go toward paying for the facility's gas for the year, and the freezer will help alleviate the stress on their current freezer.

Since sharing the organization’s needs with the community, City Youth has been full with food donations that will help them until the end of summer.

“City Youth has been really blessed in the last two to three months by incredible churches and businesses that I haven’t had a chance to mention,” Snider said. “He used the employees and their sensitivity to the kids and our need here to just bless us beyond words.”
