JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - While a Jonesboro man hunts for clues into the poisoning of his yellow Labrador retriever, Jonesboro police do not suspect it was intentional.
Tuesday afternoon, 28-year-old Caleb Smith reported the alleged poisoning occurred at his home in the 2200-block of Rains Street.
Smith said that on Sunday his dog, which he valued at $300, suddenly became very ill.
He rushed the animal to an emergency veterinary clinic where he learned the Lab had been poisoned.
Smith did not know who would have poisoned his dog, the initial incident report said. Police, however, do not suspect foul play.
