JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission plans to hold a public meeting in Region 8 aimed at hunters.

The meeting is planned for March 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nettleton High School Fine Arts Center, 4201 Chieftan Lane, in Jonesboro.

In a report by KARK, the AGFC said they plan to delay the flooding of some public hunting spots.

This is because trees in those areas are dying due to the flooding, and the trees supply acorns which are a favorite food for ducks.

Some hunters worry this may affect the economy with the amount of money duck hunting brings in.
