JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Someone went so far as to block firefighters from being able to get into a burning structure.  Papers filed in Craighead County District Court paint a vivid picture of the crimes Jerry Dale Price II of Jonesboro is accused of committing.

Lake City Police said Price stole pellet guns and tools from a shed on Oak Street in Lake City and then set the structure on fire.  The probable cause affidavit states someone flipped a dryer and refrigerator in front of the door of the burning structure.  Firefighters said that was done purposely to make entry into the burning structure more difficult.

The court papers say witnesses saw Price loading guns into a black Ford Mustang.  Lake City officers performed a traffic stop on a black Mustang and issued Price his Miranda rights.  At that time he said he wanted his lawyer present.  The officer noted that guns, later identified as pellet guns, were found in plain sight in the Mustang.  Officers later reported .45 ounces of marijuana were found in the vehicle.

Jerry Dale Price II was given a $15,000 bond.  His next court date is set for April 20.
