JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

When her landlord evicted her, police say a Jonesboro woman left with all of her belongings, except one: her dog.

On Feb. 28, according to the initial incident report, 34-year-old Lashinda Real was evicted from the house she was renting in the 2200-block of Clover Drive.

The following day, an animal control officer was called to the neighborhood to pick up her brindle and white pit bull that was running loose.

Officers contacted Real who said she would pick up the dog once she got a ride to animal control.

But, the report said she never went.

On March 17, police finally caught up with Real when she appeared in court on another case.

She was cited with animal cruelty, no state rabies, and dogs at large.
