POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Road work taking place in Poinsett County on Tuesday will help a group who just bought land along the road.
A Mennonite group bought several acres of land on Morning Sun Road, north of Harrisburg.
The Mennonites plan to build a church and school on the land.
The Mennonites reached out to the Poinsett County Road Department to get help grating and laying gravel on the road so they could build it up to be a better road.
"I think it is great," Bob Cantrell, Poinsett County judge said. "Anything we can do to bring the county up especially infrastructure and people living to make it better for them with better roads, that is what the county is all about."
Cantrell said the county's portion of the project is expected to be complete within the next two days.
