Man faces commercial burglary, theft charges

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The theft of over $5,200 worth of materials from a company has a Craighead County man facing commercial burglary and theft charges, authorities said Thursday.

Courtley Lloyd Johnson of Lake City was arrested this week on suspicion of commercial burglary and theft in connection with a Dec. 12 burglary at C&C Custom Metals in Jonesboro, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Police believe a welder, plasma cutter, and hand tools were taken during the burglary, which was caught on tape. The affidavit noted that Johnson worked with another suspect, who admitted committing the theft, during an interview with Jonesboro police.

A $3,500 bond was set Thursday for Johnson, who will appear in circuit court on April 20.
