PIGGOTT, AR (KAIT) -

Irby Funeral Home in Piggott sustained some property damage during severe storms on Saturday.

The funeral home's shed was destroyed by high winds.

Now, the items in that shed are on full display near the funeral homes.

Among the items on the ground were several items used to hold caskets, but many in town has mistaken them for actual caskets.

"It looked strange," said funeral director Cheri Boyd.  "It did, it looked like caskets, just standing up on the end and people are not comfortable with caskets."

She said a few people have contacted the funeral home's manager after seeing what they thought were caskets.

"He did have someone else call him and say you've got caskets out, but it is just metal bears that the caskets are placed on," said Boyd.

She said the funeral home is currently undergoing renovations and the shed would have eventually been cleaned out anyway had it not been destroyed by the storm.

For the time being the funeral home is waiting on an insurance adjuster to look at the property and then the items will be cleaned up.

"We will get it cleaned up and hopefully re-done and it will look much better later."
