Search leads to drug arrest

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A man faced criminal charges Monday after authorities reportedly found meth and marijuana during a search, Jonesboro police said.

Bobby Lee Posey of Jonesboro was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after the search.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro Police Department Street Crimes investigators saw Posey sitting in the driver's seat of a car in the 700-block of Meadowbrook Drive around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

Officers reportedly got reports about Posey selling meth and searched him after finding out he was on probation, the affidavit noted.

Police found six grams of meth in a plastic baggie found in his waistline and a gram of marijuana and a marijuana grinder during a search of his home, officers said in the affidavit.
