PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

Investigators have identified a Paragould woman killed Tuesday morning in a head-on crash with a garbage truck.

Arkansas State Police say 20-year-old Kayla McNamara was eastbound when her 2008 Hyundai Elantra crossed the middle turn lane into the path of a trash truck, hitting it head on.

Although the truck did catch fire after the crash, those in the truck were not seriously injured.

The crash happened just before 8 a.m. on Highway 412 in front of the Greene County Tech Schools. Traffic had been stopped in front of the junior high school for over two hours.

GCT sent out an alert stating, "All is well at GCT schools..."
