JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

One of the south’s leading Duck Commanders is headed to Region 8 to share his faith and support women trying to get their lives on track.

An Evening with Phil Robertson is set for April 8 at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center in Jonesboro at 5:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by John 3:17 Ministry which is a homeless/recovery center for women in Jackson County.

Robertson appeared on the A&E show "Duck Dynasty" and will speak on faith, family, and ducks.

Katie McNaire, John 3:17 staff member, and Jim Woodell, John 3:17 director, appeared on Region 8 News Midday Tuesday to discuss the event.

“Proceeding that we will have graduates from John 3:17 and John 3:16 singing and doing some music,” McNaire said.

Proceeds from ticket sales go to keeping the doors of John 3:17 open.

“John 3:17 has been in existence for just over four years,” Woodell said. “We’ve got 23 ladies there that are recovering from various addictions, alcohol, drugs, or other things.”

Woodell said it’s a yearlong program that is no charge to the women.

Along with Phil Robertson, Woodell said Mrs. Kay from "Duck Dynasty" is supposed to attend as well.

Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com or at the Convocation Center Box Office.

Student tickets are $13 and adults are $18.
