Suspects involved in deadly police chase pleaded guilty

CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Two people who were involved in a chase that crossed state lines and caused the death of a woman pleaded guilty.

Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller says Robert Huffines and Lea Mamino entered their pleas in court on Thursday.

Huffines pleaded to manslaughter, fleeing, theft by receiving, and DWI. Mamino pleaded to manslaughter, fleeing, and theft by receiving.

The pair led police on a chase in October 2016 which started in Kennett, MO and ended in Paragould.

Sadine Dixon of Piggott, a person unrelated to the chase, was killed after a collision with a Clay County sheriff's deputy involved in the pursuit.

Huffines is reportedly receiving 30 years in prison, while Mamino is receiving 25 years.
