JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are investigating a report of bestiality involving a child.

A 23-year-old man told Officer Jon Baker he witnessed a ten-year-old boy having sex with a dog.

The witness said he and his wife, who live next door to the juvenile on Aggie Road, had seen the boy outside with the dog numerous times.

At first, he believed the child was “rolling around with the dog, but then realized that his pants were down,” the report stated.

“The boy kept looking around as if to make sure nobody was looking, then pulled the dog up to him,” the report said. “When the juvenile pulled the dog up…the boy began to have sex with the dog.”

At first, the witness did not believe what he saw.

When he realized the boy was having sex with the dog, the made a noise which the child heard.

He said the boy “immediately pulled his pants up and ran inside [his] house.”

The man went into his home and told his wife, then called police.

According to the initial incident report, the child is suspected of another recent crime.

Baker spoke with the investigator of that case who said that he had talked to the boy and his mother, “who both acknowledged the incident involving the sexual intercourse with a dog,” the report said.

Baker said the child has been “transported out of town.”

Jonesboro police have notified juvenile authorities. Baker also contacted the child abuse hotline but was told the case did not fit the criteria for an investigation, they did say they would document the incident.
