JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A feel-good musical comedy will take the stage in Jonesboro while also helping the foster care community.

The Jonesboro High School Performing Arts Department presents Sister Act April 6-8 at 7 p.m. nightly at the Jonesboro High School Center for Performing Arts.

While offering an upbeat performance full of outrageous dancing and powerful music, the production is a part of a larger goal for the department.

For a third year, students are tying a performance with a community service project.

This year, the project is Feet and Seats, Every Child Deserves Them.

Students and sponsors are asking for new sock and underwear donations to be given to those in the Northeast Arkansas Foster Care System.

They ask for all sizes from infant to adult size 3XL.

Donations can be dropped off in the boxes outside the JHS Center for Performing Arts from April 6-8.

Tickets for the show are $15 for floor seats and $10 for the upper level.
