JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library hosted their spring arts and crafts fair Saturday hoping to attract a lot of people.

The free event likely attracted those who like reading about witches and wizards with the Harry Potter theme.

Local vendors were there selling handmade items.

The event also included several family-friendly activities including live music and face painting.

"This is the sixth time we've done this and the whole purpose of it is to get people to come to the library," said Brandi Hodges, the library's public relations manager. "We try to find every single avenue we can to encourage people to come to our building."

Hodges said the event is held to allow people to see that the library is about more than just the books.
