JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Nearly 250 students from Northeast Arkansas had the opportunity Sunday to show off their work in arts and sciences.
The Arkansas State University Museum hosted the "Through a Child's Eyes" art show and STEM Day. The students had an opportunity to have their work seen at the museum for one month, while adults had an opportunity to see the artwork and learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
A student told Region 8 News that she was excited to learn that her work would be featured.
"I had to stay in for recess, lunch, and part of my math period to finish it so, a long time, Destiny Thomas said. "She said yours is going to be in the art show, I was like oh."
In addition to first, second and third place awards, a best in show award was also given in each grade level.
