(KAIT) - A common practice taught to keep children safe may not be the best practice anymore.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is now encouraging parents to use a new technique rather than say "stranger danger."
In a report by ABC News, the center said it's a blanket statement that doesn't fit all scenarios and wants children to understand not all strangers are dangerous, such as police.
