Family returns home to find dog shot, dead

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - When a Jonesboro family left home this past weekend, their dog "Dots" was alive and well. When they returned, they found her dead from a gunshot wound.

Monday morning Deputy Josh J. Miller of the Craighead County Sheriff's Office was called to a home on County Road 337.

The 36-year-old complainant said when her family got home they found their dog dead.

She had no idea who could have done it or when it happened.

Miller stated in his report that it appeared a .22 caliber weapon was used to shoot the animal.

At this time, there are no suspects.
