JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police spent Monday looking for a suspect who used a doggie door to break into a home, spray painting, and vandalizing the home.
Jonesboro police went to a home in the 1600-block of Whitney Cove Sunday afternoon about the break-in. According to a police report, Officer Joseph Branstetter said he spoke to the homeowners about what happened.
The homeowners told police that when they got home, they saw several items in the house were thrown around and that the mirrors, walls, cabinets, and floors in the house were spray painted.
Branstetter found a spray paint can on the bathroom floor and noticed something else, police said in the report.
"I could see a bath towel laying in the doggie door on the kitchen floor where it appeared someone placed it there when entering, so they didn't cut themselves," Branstetter said.
Police believe the break-in happened between 3 p.m. April 1 and 6 p.m. April 2.
Anyone with information on the burglary can call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
