Names released in deadly Jonesboro motorcycle crash

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police have released new details about a deadly crash involving a motorcycle in Jonesboro.

Christopher Harrison, 27, of Corning was killed in the crash, according to a Jonesboro Police Department report.

The crash happened at the intersection of E. Johnson Ave. and University Loop just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Police state Caleb King, 21, of Jonesboro, who was driving a 2012 GMC Terrain, was stopped in the turning lane on E. Johnson preparing to turn south onto University Loop.

Harrison was driving a 2005 Buell Blast motorcycle east on E. Johnson in the inner lane.

JPD states in the report that King failed to yield to Harrison while turning south which resulted in a head-on collision in the intersection.

Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.

King was not listed as injured in the report.
