Mission Outreach reports $100k worth of A/C units stolen

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are investigating the theft of $100,000 worth of air conditioners from Mission Outreach of Northeast Arkansas.

Jackie D. Ross, interim director of the nonprofit organization, reported the theft Tuesday.

He said sometime in the past year, someone entered the mission's vacant building at 800 Southwest Drive and stole 12 central heating and air conditioning units valued at $42,000.

Ross said the culprits also took 58 wall units, like those used in hotels, valued at $58,000.

He said he did not know when the units were stolen, adding that he had not been in the building since last spring, the JPD report stated.
