GOSNELL, AR (KAIT) -

One man was stabbed and another was injured as sheriff's investigators continue to figure out what happened.

Captain Rob Rounsavall with the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to County Road 54 north of Gosnell around 4 p.m. Tuesday and found two men injured.

Jonathan McKinnie, 41, of Blytheville was found stabbed in the stomach with a knife. Johnny Hood, 42, of Gosnell was found to be hit in the head with a glass jar, according to Rounsavall.

Both men were taken a Memphis hospital.

McKinnie is in critical, but stable condition, the captain said.

Hood reportedly "caused a scene" at the hospital and later walked out.

No arrests were immediately reported.

The incident is still under investigation.
