Lincoln Touts Renewable Fuels as Senate Debates Energy Bill

WASHINGTON - Senator Blanche Lincoln encouraged the production of renewable fuels today as the U.S. Senate debates the Energy Reform Bill.

Lincoln says such fuels, like biodiesel, could provide a boost for rural economies.

Last week Lincoln attached a legislative package of tax incentives to that bill.  The package encourages domestic production of renewable energy sources.  Among the provisions was an extension of a tax incentive to encourage the production and use of biodiesel through 2010.
